Ryokukazan-yado Fujiiso

A sukiya-style mountain canyon inn perched on a cliff above the Matsukawa Gorge at Yamada Onsen, opened in 1798. All rooms face the gorge surrounded by mountains on three sides. This traditional inn was beloved by literary giants including Mori Ogai, Yosano Akiko, and Kikuchi Kan. Entirely non-smoking.
